Betty M. Moulder Elementary Education Scholarship Fund

The Betty M. Moulder Elementary Education Scholarship Fund was established in 1995 and transferred to Berks County Community Foundation for administration in 2017. Betty was a graduate of Buffalo Teachers College and went on to obtain her Master’s Degree in Elementary Education. Betty taught at the elementary level for 35 years, retiring from the Twin Valley School District in 1981.

This fund provides scholarships to seniors graduating from Twin Valley High School who will be furthering their education after high school at a four-year college or university to major in elementary education (typically kindergarten through fifth/sixth grades), or early childhood education (typically birth through 3rd grade). Preference will be given to a student studying elementary education; however, all applicants who meet the criteria are encouraged to apply. Applicants must have achieved a high school cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above in order to apply.

To be considered for this scholarship, submit this application between January 15th and March 15th. All applicants will be notified in May.
