Iris M. Balthaser Adam Scholarship Fund

The Iris M. Balthaser Adam Scholarship Fund was established at Berks County Community Foundation by her family in 2014 in memory of Iris who passed away in 1991. Iris was a school teacher at Hamburg Area School District for 30 years.

This fund will provide scholarships to high school seniors who are graduating from a Berks County, Pennsylvania, school district who will be attending Kutztown University and majoring in Elementary Education. Preference will be given to seniors graduating from Hamburg Area High School; however, all applicants who meet the criteria are encouraged to apply.

Applicants must have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above or 86% or above in order to apply, been active in school and/or community activities or have held a work-related commitment, and have a financial need.

To be considered for this scholarship, submit this application between January 15th and March 15th. All applicants will be notified in May.
